Alan Nixon claims that 777 Partners wants George Downing and Andy Bell, two Everton supporters, to participate in their purchase offer for the Merseyside team.
On Sunday, October 15, the writer revealed on Patreon that Bell and Downing, who previously worked with MSP Sports Capital as takeover contenders, had already invested £80 million in the Toffees.
On September 15, The Times revealed that Bell and Downing had given millions of dollars to help build Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Nixon said that in order to avoid having to repay their debt and increase the cost of their takeover at Goodison Park, 777 now want Bell and Downing to join them.
Already reducing expenses
The idea that 777 purchasing Everton would be disastrous for the Premier League team has been bandied about a lot.

All you have to do is look at the recent struggles other teams in their portfolio have had.
Although it becomes sense for businesspeople to look for ways to cut costs, the fact that 777 is attempting to do so raises the possibility that they lack the funds necessary to buy Everton from Farhad Moshiri.
Watching what Bell and Downing do and whether they participate in the 777 takeover attempt at Goodison will be interesting. Alternatively, they might ask the Americans for their money back.
But by doing so, they might be harming 777’s chances of acquiring the company, which might lead to the agreement being terminated and Moshiri staying in charge.
While we’ll have to wait and see how things work out, this isn’t entirely terrible news. The news was somewhat expected.
