777 Partners stance emerges over £300m legal bill from……

According to the Daily Mail, 777 Partners is unwilling to pay for any legal action that may be taken against Everton should Leeds, Burnley, or Leicester win a case due to their FFP violation.

The Premier League docked the Toffees ten points for breaking profit and sustainability regulations, and as a result, the three clubs proceeded with their plans to sue Everton for a combined £100 million.

However, 777 Partners has stated in a report published on Saturday, November 18, that they will not be paying any compensation related to the case, even though they have promised to give the club about £20 million a month to help with operating expenses while their takeover bid is evaluated.

“Mail Sport has learned that 777Partners, Everton’s potential buyers, would not be willing to pay a compensation bill that could run into tens of millions of pounds, despite their commitment to provide approximately £20 million a month to help with the club’s running costs while the Premier League is assessing their takeover bid,” the statement reads.

Crazy

How anyone can expect this takeover to be approved is beyond us, because 777 Partners clearly don’t care about Everton Football Club.

Of course, they are not to blame for this. They were not the cause of the issue, and if the club needs to pay out any money as a result of this upcoming legal battle, Farhad Moshiri and his friends ought to pay it.

However, it’s clear to everyone with eyes and common sense that 777 Partners are just in this for a quick payday and want to own the club so they can leverage it to make a quick profit – not make us successful.

Everton

Sadly, though, the Premier League has now explicitly stated that they also do not give a damn. They will not take responsibility for their actions out of concern that they will appear weak, even though they have made the club look bad with this totally disproportionate and unjustified ruling.

We’re in big trouble financially now and despite the fact the hearing made it clear that Everton gained no sporting advantage from the breach, we’re about to suffer massively for it.
