Ford Field is the place to be on game day, as Detroit Lions supporters are well aware.

However, Motor City’s recent success has led to a large number of new individuals discovering it. Steve Levy of ESPN was among the tens of thousands of spectators at Detroit’s pivotal victory over Tampa Bay, which sent them to the NFC Championship.

On Monday at 1:00 p.m., he tweeted:

My headache has only disappeared now. I’ve never been in a louder venue than Ford Field yesterday. Still, there was an unusual quiet when the Lions were playing “Goffense.” It was the fewest out-of-town spectators I had ever seen at a major sports event.
