CRYSTAL PALACE NOW WANT TO SIGN £85,000-A-WEEK TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR PLAYER

Crystal Palace are among the clubs who have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier.

According to 90min, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Eric Dier from London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed Palace are “admirers” of Dier, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder.Eric Dier signs new Tottenham deal until 2024 - Eurosport

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, AS Monaco, Al Nassr, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica are also interested in the England international.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are willing to sell Dier, who was left out of new head coach Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squad for the opening Premier League game of the season against Brentford this past weekend.

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier would be a good signing for Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

Dier has been playing in the Premier League since 2014 and has been a success in the division.

The 29-year-old is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to make an immediate impact at Palace.

Dier’s ability to play in defence or in midfield would be an asset for Palace, who will be looking to end up in the top half of the Premier League table this season.

However, Palace could struggle to tempt the £85,000-a-week (Spotrac) player into a move to Selhurst Park.

While Palace are a big and established club in the Premier League, they are unlikely to challenge for any major trophies or even for the top six anytime soon.

Dier has made 270 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The defender has scored 12 goals, given nine assists, and kept 86 clean sheets in those games.
