Crystal Palace are closing in on a season-long loan deal for Chelsea defender Lewis Hall.
The Eagles have targeted the 18-year-old left-back to compete with Tyrick Mitchell and a deal is now on the verge of being agreed.
The move is expected to be confirmed inside the next 48 hours in time for Palace’s opening Premier League game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday.
The England Under-21 international has made 17 first team appearances for Chelsea since making his first team breakthrough during the 2021-22 season.
He was named Chelsea’s academy player of the year for last season.

Roy Hodgson is looking to add defensive options to his Crystal Palace squad
The move for 18-year-old Hall is set to be completed before Crystal Palace’s Premier League opener against Sheffield United on Saturday
However, his game time looked set to be limited at Stamford Bridge this season, with Mauricio Pochettino having Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen at left back.
Hall is now set to spend the season in south London, and will hope to pick up valuable first team minutes to continue his development.
He is also capable of playing in midfield, and his versatility could be a major asset for the Eagles this season.
