The Manchester United defenders Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon are both out injured, according to the Mirror. Erik ten Hag has so far made both of the defenders seem good, especially Martinez who has been here for more than a year.
Martinez suffered the setback during our Premier League encounter against Arsenal earlier this month, according to an official statement from the team. Martinez bravely kept on playing in the two games that followed, ones against Bayern Munich and one against Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to the club statement:
Martinez heroically proceeded to play in the following two matches against Bayern Munich and Brighton & Hove Albion. However, it has now been decided that he needs time off the field to recover and receive treatment.
To determine the next steps, assessment is still underway. We at Manchester United wish Lisandro the best and anticipate his return as soon as is practical.
Saturday, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof filled Lisandro Martinez’s position. Evans will now play for Ten Hag’s team for a considerable amount of time as a result of the Argentine’s absence.
Reguilon’s injury has also been reported, which has handed United further damage. The left-back won’t take the field against Crystal Palace on Saturday. United is currently lacking left-backs. There is only Diego Dalot playing in his assigned position.
If Reguilon hadn’t gotten hurt, it may have been better. He has excelled under Ten Hag’s direction, and allowing him to play in the starting XI will undoubtedly have additional advantageous effects. Reguilon really needed playing experience to increase his confidence in the league.
