Chelsea are reportedly still in talks with Montpellier striker Elye Wahi about a £30 million transfer.
The highly-rated young Frenchman has recently impressed in Ligue 1 and appears to be a good long-term signing for the Blues.
This rumour has been circulating for some time, and according to the Evening Standard, negotiations appear to be dragging on.
Wahi would be another top young player to join Stamford Bridge’s growing impressive squad, with Romeo Lavia and Michael Olise both on the verge of moves, as reported by Fabrizio Romano in his CaughtOffside column earlier today.
Chelsea began the Premier League season with a 1-1 draw at home against Liverpool and will undoubtedly need to improve, even if plenty of exciting changes have been made to the squad.
Wahi could be another useful option to give CFC more of a goal threat, with question marks over Nicolas Jackson, even if he looks another promising long-term option.
