Celtic might not have signed any high-profile players in the summer, but initial rumours had suggested that they were going to. The Hoops had been linked with some big names as well although ultimately, none of them ended up materialising. Let’s see if the situation changes in future transfer windows.
One of the players Celtic were linked with late on in the recent summer transfer window is Eric Dier. The Tottenham Hotspur veteran’s future is in question as he seems to be completely out of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at the London club.
Dier has not yet participated in a single football play. He has improved in that he is now on the bench, as opposed to earlier in the season when he was totally left out of the matchday squads.
Dier, even if on loan, is not anticipated to be content and is anticipated to leave in January. If he wants to have any chance of making the England squad for EURO 2024, he has to be playing regularly. Although Celtic have been mentioned as a prospective destination, it appears that the Italian capital may hold the key to his future.
