Throughout his two seasons at Celtic, Carl Starfelt was an outstanding defender, in spite of all of his flaws.

There is no disputing the hard facts, even though the Swede was unfairly criticised by the Scottish media and regretted by certain members of the Celtic faithful for some of his performances.

In two seasons, Celtic would not have won five out of six trophies without the 28-year-old defender. It doesn’t matter what people think. I mean, can you tell I like him?

That being said, he has since moved on and is currently playing in the Spanish first division for Rafa Benitez’s Celt Vigo. The renowned Spanish manager has elevated Starfelt within the squad despite the team’s inability to produce success.
