Former Browns Wide Receiver Antonio Callaway Arrested in Florida
A former Cleveland Browns draft pick is back in the news after an arrest in Miami. The 2018 NFL Draft pick of the fourth round, Antonio Callaway, was arrested in Florida for driving with a suspended licence, per a report.
This is not the first time that Callaway has had off-field issues by any means. The former Florida Gator was cited for the same thing in 2018 in Ohio; he was also in some trouble that year for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Then in 2019, Callaway was suspended 10 games for the same thing.
After making 11 starts in 2018 as a rookie and recording 586 receiving yards, Callaway has played in just nine games since then. Callaway last played in 2020 with the Miami Dolphins for five games; he has a pair of catches there.
Callaway is currently with the Dallas Cowboys organisation and hopes to crack their practice squad. This arrest is certainly not an example of him heading in the right direction.
Another John Dorsey risk of a pick in Cleveland that did not work out for the Browns, or perhaps anyone else.
