Seitzer is honoured for Atlanta’s 2023 offence, which established a record.
Kevin Seitzer, the hitting coach for the Atlanta Braves, has been selected MLB Coach of the Year for 2023 by Baseball America.
Setizer joined the Braves in 2014 and is 61 years old.
Seitzer stated, “Well, this has to be a mistake, because I just got to coach the offence of the year. I had some really good players who I got to coach, and I give them all the credit—and everybody else who goes into it. This was in response to the Braves PR team informing him of his honour
During Seitzer’s ten years with the Braves, the team won the National League East six times in a row and led the MLB in a number of categories.
Atlanta’s 307 home runs tied the 2019 Minnesota Twins’ juiced-ball season record for the most in a single MLB season. The team’s.501 slugging percentage was the best in MLB history, and it was the first time a team’s cumulative slugging percentage was at or above.500.
In terms of hits (1,543), runs (947), batting average (.276), and batting average (.344), the Braves top all of Major League Baseball.
