Aston Villa, a Premier League powerhouse, has lost one of its technical directors effective immediately.

Fabio Paratici has been replaced as Tottenham’s technical director by Johan Lange.

Prior to Monchi’s arrival at Villa in the summer, Lange served as the club’s sporting director.

Lange has opted to work with Spurs in his preferred capacity rather than continue to work in the Villa programme.

“This is a new and exciting chapter for the club as it looks to successfully unearth, nurture and develop young talent both in the UK and overseas,” Villa stated in a statement to the club.

“The club can confirm Johan is leaving his role and departs with the best wishes and gratitude of everyone here for his commitment and service during his time.”
