According to reports, Aston Villa’s efforts to recruit Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams have received a big boost.

This summer, Villa expressed a lot of interest in the 21-year-old.According to reports, Unai Emery spoke with the player in an effort to persuade him to make a move.

It was alleged that before he opted to stay at Bilbao, the club was ready to use his £45 million release clause. Real Madrid and Barcelona, two of the biggest clubs in Spain, were also interested in Williams.
