The reasons Bills Head coach refused to trade Stefon Diggs to 1 NFL specific team

AD

This week, Chris Simms stated on “Pro Football Talk” that while the Bills were firmly against dealing Diggs to the Kansas City Chiefs, they were willing to make certain accommodations for him in a trade.

As far as I’m aware, he was free to approach any team in the league for a trade, with the exception of the Kansas City Chiefs,” Simms stated. I’ve heard from a number of people that he was permitted to do it. The only team they refused to make a deal with was the Chiefs.

It’s clear that the Bills have no intention of supporting the Chiefs. Three of the last four seasons’ playoff meetings between the two teams have resulted in a victory for Kansas City. Diggs would have been a highly unpopular deal, and it would have been counterproductive to even consider it.

Diggs was acquired by the Houston Texans instead, bolstering their already formidable arsenal. The wide receiver will still be playing for an AFC competitor that qualified for the playoffs in 2023, so the Bills will still have to deal with him even if they only risk having him for a year.
