The only goalie nominated who is presently playing in Serie A is Maignan, who is one of a list of ten keepers. There are also representatives from the Turkish SuperLig, Ligue 1, the Premier League, and LaLia.

Despite being sidelined for a substantial portion of the 2022–23 season due to injury, the Frenchman quickly cemented his spot on the squad after his return, ultimately leading the Rossoneri to a fourth-place finish in Serie A while recording eight clean sheets from 21 league games.

Because of Inter’s top-four performance and his participation in the Champions League final against Manchester City in June, former Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana has also been nominated for the Yachine Award.

Ederson, Thibaut Courtois, Aaron Ramsdale, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Emiliano Martinez, Yassine Bounou, Brice Samba, and Dominik Livakovic of Manchester City are the other eight nominees.
