Tottenham Hotspur are open to loaning out Japhet Tanganga amid interest from Inter Milan.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, this is the case.
According to the report, while Inter’s interest has not yet materialized, the Italian giants have Japhet Tanganga on their radar and have had some contact.
The report also claims that Tottenham are not opposed to loaning out the defender, which has not always been the case in the past.
Tanganga may have to consider leaving if he wants to play regularly now that Ange Postecoglou has strengthened his central defense.
Time for Japhet Tanganga to move on
Tanganga didn’t play much last season, appearing in just four Premier League games. And things could get even worse for him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now that Micky van de Ven has joined the north London club.
They recently confirmed the signing of the Dutchman from Wolfsburg, which could be a setback for Tanganga’s chances of playing this season.
Van de Ven and Cristian Romero are now expected to be Postecoglou’s preferred central defensive pairing for the new season.
However, it does not look like he is going to be a key player for Tottenham, so a move this summer could be the way to go.
A switch to Inter also sounds appealing. They reached last season’s Champions League final and have been competing for the Serie A title in recent years.
If the 24-year-old has a chance to join Simone Inzaghi’s side before the transfer window closes, he should probably take it if it is a choice between that and staying at Tottenham to be a bit-part player.
