AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta was given a three-game suspension by the league on Tuesday after punching a referee during a Serie A match.

He was one of three players to be kicked out of the match, the other two being Mitchell Dijks and Nicola Sansone, both of Bologna, who were also expelled in the closing moments of the San Siro match.
When called upon to replace Lucas Biglia but Gennaro Gattuso instead introduced Jose Mauri, on-loan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko became embroiled in a contentious exchange with the Milan manager.
