Player Ratings: Cagliari receives a score of 1-3. Adli shines in AC Milan’s potent midfield.

AC Milan extended their winning run thanks to a 3-1 win against Cagliari tonight, coming back from one goal behind. A few of the reserves did well tonight and below are the player ratings for the Rossoneri.

Starting XI

Sportiello (6): Although some feel the Cagliari player might have done a better job on the goal, it was nonetheless a commendable performance. But after that, he made a few solid stops and appeared to be at ease with the sticks.

Florenzi (six): The veteran didn’t provide a horrible performance; he just fulfilled his role for the evening. He occasionally played an inverted role and did well to be accessible.

Thiaw (6.5): Given Petagna’s power, he had to cope with the striker this evening, which was a difficult challenge. He did, however, look terrific on the ball and took the most of the duels.

Tomori (6.5): He was certainly a bit rash this evening, which could have hurt Milan more, and he was involved in the goal conceded. However, he made up for that with the second goal of the game, which was crucial.

Hernandez (score of six): He may have still been a little tired because he occasionally lacked enthusiasm and was careless during the defensive phase (he didn’t follow Nandez on the goal). However, he also had some positive moments.

Loftus-Cheek (7 – MOTM): Milan really needed the goal at that juncture in the game. The Englishman’s screamer ended the game just as Cagliari was starting to gain ground. He was also quite calm while he was in possession of the ball tonight, playing the right side flawlessly and winning duels.

Adli (7): It’s true that he dropped the ball immediately before the goal, but as the ratings above show, a string of mistakes occurred throughout that period.

He appeared to be highly at ease when in control and made several accurate passes (97% pass success rate). Good night to him.

Reijnders (7): He was constantly accessible and helped generate opportunities, which Milan needed against a low-sitting Cagliari. This was especially true in the first half. It was also fantastic to have Tomori’s goal assisted. He is one of the players, nevertheless, who could have contributed more to the goal.

Chukwueze (6.5): His dribbling tonight gave him numerous opportunities to appear promising, but his final product fell short and would have required a better grade. He clearly has the potential to become even more significant for Milan in the future, and this performance is undoubtedly one to build upon.

Okafor (6.5): Similar to Reijnders, Milan needed his mobility tonight, and the 1-1 goal—even though it was a touch fortunate—was essential. The Swiss international can build on this performance.

The game’s opening goal was assisted by Pulisic (6.5) after the goalie made a costly error. Later, he also assisted the third goal by connecting with Loftus-Cheek. He undoubtedly got better as the game went on.

Substitutes

Pobega (5.5): Despite decent placement, he again made sloppy passes off the bench. He has to focus on that a lot.

Musah (6.5): His performance at No. 6 was quite encouraging. Considering his endurance and low center of gravity, he certainly appears to be able to play there.

Romero (score of six): He wasn’t actually seen all that much, but he was assured with the ball and helped finish the game.

Leao (6): On occasion, he came close to breaking through on the left wing.

Bartesaghi (N/A): We weren’t able to view enough of him to rate him.
