Due to minor illnesses, Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan missed Tuesday afternoon’s training session for France. Today’s game saw the goalie return to action, although the full-back did not.
Hernandez rested after suffering a calf injury in the match against Ireland, according to RMC Sport, and Maignan got therapy in the gym yesterday. Given that the rivalry is approaching, it is obvious that this reached Milan fans swiftly.
The same source did, however, report that Maignan was back in training with the rest of the team today, which was good news. Hernandez, on the other hand, was not there and will need more time before he can resume his duties, but it shouldn’t be a serious issue.
Next Saturday’s Derby della Madonnina pits Milan against Inter, and the Rossoneri depend on the Frenchmen being well. Without these two key players, winning would be challenging.
