How Milan Has exploit David’s qualities in new-look front three

It appears that AC Milan is prepared to make a serious bid to recruit Lille’s Jonathan David, possibly during the January transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan attempted to buy David in the summer and is still considering the 23-year-old attacker, whose contract expires in June 2024.

Lille is stuck with that deadline since they may either sell ahead of time to maximize their profit or take a chance on holding onto a player who would subsequently leave for nothing. Consequently, he is now requesting only €40 million instead of €60 million.

January will see a proposal to see whether there is a foundation for negotiations, but how would Stefano Pioli use David in his scheme of things if he arrived?

David would undoubtedly replace Olivier Giroud as the primary center forward because the 37-year-old Giroud is currently out of contract in June 2024 and Noah Okafor is thought of more as a left winger.

When Christian Pulisic plays on the right and Rafael Leao plays on the left, Pioli would have a quick, technical, and seamless front three.

There would be a lot of link-up play between the three encouraged, and they may switch places and draw markers with their movement within.

Furthermore, Pioli would have three forwards that are adept at going one-on-one, giving the Rossoneri a deadly counterattacking threat.
