Italian sources are ecstatic about Christian Pulisic’s move to AC Milan.

According to a post on, the €20 million plus bonuses they paid for him look cheap because of the “class and leadership” of the American winger. We’re glad to see him succeeding, and he certainly got off to a good start, scoring a great goal on his league debut.

There’s also some interesting backstory on his transfer in the post. It claims that Lyon’s offer, which arrived at the same time as Milan’s, was actually greater than the Italian club’s. But once Milan’s interest was evident, Pulisic never contemplated the Ligue 1 club, and Chelsea, who would have obviously liked the greater deal, had to accommodate his preferences..t”

For the time being, we can see why Stefano Piolo’s team believes they received a good deal. However, if Pulisic’s recent injury record continues, they will understand why we were prepared to let him leave.
