Good Report: Stefano Pioli of AC Milan pledges increased playing time for his three new signings following the UCL.

AC Milan boss, Stefano Pioli, has revealed that Nigerian star, Samuel Chukwueze, will get more playing time as the 2023-24 season unfolds, sportheadline reports.

Chukwueze joined AC Milan from Villarreal during the summer transfer window for around €20 million, catching the eye of the Rossoneri.

Despite his promising arrival, Chukwueze has seen limited playing time, with United States international Christian Pulisic often chosen as the first-choice winger.

Chukwueze made his debut start for Milan against Newcastle United after appearing in 7 matches, but couldn’t make a significant impact as the Serie A champions had a goalless draw against Eddie Howe’s side.

In a post-game statement, Pioli stressed the upcoming busy schedule and assured fans that Chukwueze will have more opportunity to shine.

Musah, Loftus, and Chuku should all play. They were prepared and required game time. They will get their opportunities with matches every three days. I have a lot of players; others might play against Verona, he remarked, according to Milan Posts.

On Saturday, Milan will host Verona at the San Siro Stadium, and Chukwueze will look to earn his first Serie A start since joining the club.

AC Milan has a busy schedule ahead of them with six games in 19 days beginning on Tuesday night against Newcastle. Stefano Pioli is therefore anticipated to give the new additions greater playing time.

This summer saw 10 acquisitions, and Pioli has already gotten the most out of Christian Pulisic, Tijani Reijnders, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Another fresh trio will have more opportunities in the following games as well.

The players in question are Yunus Musah, Noah Okafor, and Samuel Chukwueze, according to Calciomercato.com. The former might even start against Newcastle in place of Pulisic on the right wing.

Given that the typical midfield may be confirmed against Newcastle, Musah is anticipated to receive the chance from the opening kickoff against Hellas Verona. On the other hand, Okafor might already have more room against the English team (whether starting or coming off the bench is to be determined).
