It seems as though Rade Krunic will not be heading for Fenerbahce this summer as AC Milan are determined to keep him and renew him.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Krunic to Fenerbahçe idea has cooled down in the last few hours. After the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy, head coach Stefano Pioli has renewed his faith in the Bosnian international who has had a leading role in preseason.
Although Fenerbahce’s interest was genuine, Milan never wanted to deprive themselves of Krunic and the paper adds that they are even willing to renew the 30-year-old’s contract with a pay rise to.
To date Krunic remains a Milan player and it appears that it will stay that way for the foreseeable future. It looks as though the Rossoneri will head into the new campaign with the former Empoli man starting at the base of the new three-man midfield.
