AC Milan have got another signing across the line as they have reached an agreement with Club Atletico Platense over Marco Pellegrino, reports claim.
According to MilanNews, a deal has been struck between Milan and Platense for Pellegrino’s transfer to the Rossoneri. The Argentine defender – who has an Italian passport – will soon become the new central defender available to Stefano Pioli.
The Diavolo and the Argentine side have found a meeting point at €3m plus bonuses, while Platense will also receive a percentage of the proceeds from a potential future resale.
Now, before Pellegrino’s arrival in Milan, all that remains is to define the last bureaucratic details and then the 21-year-old will become Milan’s ninth signing in the summer transfer window.
Pellegrino will join a defensive department which currently has Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer and Malick Thiaw available, after Matteo Gabbia departed to join Villarreal on a season-long loan deal.
