WHAT OCCURED? After a tough spell at Chelsea, the USMNT standout joined Milan this month. Pulisic described what Pioli said to convince him to leave the Premier League for Serie A at his first press conference as a Milan player.
“The decision to come here came after talking to Pioli, and I immediately understood that he wanted me here,” Pulisic stated. “He told me to be direct and concrete in order to give everything to this team.” The conversation with him was brief, but it was sufficient to persuade me to relocate to Milan.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Pulisic is expected to play a key role in Milan’s assault next season as manager Stefano Pioli rebuilds the squad following the departures of Sandro Tonali and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
