Injury Expert Concerns An update on Andre Gomes before Everton vs. Brighton..

Dr Rajpal Brar reports that Andre Gomes, an Everton midfielder, will not play against Brighton because he is still recovering from a calf injury.
The injury expert claims that the training room, not the field, is the primary focus and that physiotherapists play a more hands-on role.

Due to a lengthy injury that kept him out of the lineup for months, the 30-year-old has yet to appear in a game for the Toffees this season.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

Based on his comments, it appears that he has not yet worked with physiotherapists on the grass, so for the time being, the main focus is most likely in the training room.

Gomes appeared to be on the cusp of an exit from Goodison Park in the summer but stayed put at the club.

Turkey was reportedly interested in him, and following a quiet loan period, Sean Dyche did not appear to be in a hurry to keep him with the team.

It remains to be seen, given his fitness issues, whether or not the Portugal international will be at the club beyond the January window.
