Everton defender James Tarkowski wants to go even further in the Carabao Cup.
The Toffees defeated Burnley 3-0 at home to secure their place in the quarterfinals.
Having overcome their Goodison Park struggles, the Toffees were dominant in the contest against manager Sean Dyche’s old club.
Tarkowski told club media, “It went well, getting a goal, an assist and a nice, solid performance – it was workmanlike, with every man doing their jobs.”
“We created plenty of good chances and scored three goals, so it was a good night for us.
“It’s always ideal to score early and thankfully we did that. The way they play, they like to open you up and they did a couple of times, to be fair to them, but we made it hard for them to break us down and hit them with our own attacks.”
“I’m desperate to go far in a cup competition,” added Tarkowski, ahead of the quarter-final draw.
“I’ve never been as far as I would have liked in a cup competition, so hopefully this year is the one.
“We’re waiting for the draw and we’re ready to go against whoever we get next.”
