Sunderland sign Bradley Dack in one-year deal from Blackburn Rovers

Sunderland has announced the signing of attacking midfielder Bradley Dack.

Following a six-year tenure at Blackburn Rovers, Dack has committed to an initial one-year deal at Sunderland, with an option for the club to extend the contract for an additional year.

The 29-year-old Dack leaves Blackburn after making 173 appearances and scoring 57 goals.

Before his Blackburn days, he rose through the youth ranks at Gillingham, where he clocked 38 goals and 34 assists in 185 matches.

Dack’s successful career includes two-time EFL League One Player of the Year and PFA League One Player of the Year accolades.

His performances were instrumental in Blackburn Rovers’ promotion to the Championship in the 2017-18 season, where he also earned Blackburn’s Player of the Year.

Thrilled about his new journey, Dack shared, “It feels brilliant to be here. It’s clear to see the club is on an upwards trajectory and it’s great to be on board.”

“To play in front of 40,000 people every week at the Stadium of Light was a huge pull for me, there’s not many teams in England can produce those numbers.”
