Patrick Boyland reports that Michel Rablat, the club’s head of French recruitment, has left his position at Everton.

The journalist revealed on Friday, August 13, on The Athletic website that Habib Bamogo, the Frenchman’s former coworker, will assume additional duties after he leaves.

He continued by saying that Nathan Fisher and Phil Boardman, who is expected to join the Toffees from Portsmouth, will collaborate with the former striker for Marseille and Burkina Faso.

Rablat’s contribution to the Toffees’ acquisition of Amadou Onana in a £33 million deal from Lille in the summer of 2022 was among his best works.

Rablat’s work in France will be continued by Bamogo, who hopes to identify some outstanding talent that might become popular on Merseyside in the coming years.

Boardman’s arrival as a European senior scout is expected to intensify the club’s emphasis on a data-driven approach to hiring, given his prior experience as head of performance analysis at Wolves.
