Live on TalkSPORT: Former Everton ace to Take over as…

Alan Brazil claims that if Wayne Rooney does well at Birmingham City, he will join Everton.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on October 12, the host supported the former Toffee to be the manager if he keeps proving himself. On Wednesday, October 11, the former Toffee finalized his move to St Andrew’s from MLS team DC United.

Brazil added that although Rooney is “in his heart” an Everton supporter, he would require financial support from the team if given the opportunity to accept the position.

I believe Wayne will go to Everton if he can do well with the Blues,” Brazil stated. Not yet; he needs a few more years. I believe he is in his heart an Everton player if he can establish himself, the club has financial backing, and he performs well.

Much to demonstrate

Many were baffled by Rooney’s move to Birmingham City. The Blues, under John Eustace’s leadership, are currently sixth in the Championship table, a significant improvement over their 17th-place result from the previous season.

The former Manchester United player may have to prove his worth quickly in order to keep his job, but if all goes well on his comeback to English football, Goodison Park may call.

While it’s not unprecedented for former players to rejoin their team, Rooney may follow in the footsteps of Premier League players Frank Lampard, Mikel Arteta, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It’s far too early to make any reasonable predictions about Rooney’s future. Few would be extremely optimistic that Rooney will succeed right away in championship football because it’s a difficult sport. Though many predicted Steven Gerrard to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, the former captain of the Reds now appears unlikely to hold a Premier League position.

A second Goodison Park reunion would be feasible if Rooney establishes himself as a top coach, which he hasn’t yet done. For the time being, though, the Toffees will concentrate on their own manager.
