Arrival of ex-Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest, and Watford recruitment chief According to Xisco Munoz, Luke Dowling will give Championship team Sheffield Wednesday a boost.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY head Xisco Munoz believes the arrival of recruitment boss Luke Dowling will provide the Owls a significant boost as the clock approaches the summer transfer deadline.

Dowling previously worked as West Brom’s sporting and technical director until departing the Hawthorns in 2021 after supervising the club’s football department.

Leeds United, Watford, Nottingham Forest, and Blackburn Rovers are among his previous clubs.

Munoz, who is eager to add to the arrivals of Juan Delgado and Ashley Fletcher, stated, “I’m very happy with the president (Dejphon Chansiri) because he’s given me everything to try and improve the team.” This is incredible to me.

“If we gather more people, we might be able to decipher more information about more players.” But I’m also pleased with Dean (Hughes, recruitment analyst) since he’s doing a great job.

“However, I believe that having three (minds) is preferable to having just two, so this is the plan.” We’re making strides to find what we’re looking for.

“As I stated in my first press conference, the market is difficult. You have a lot of different stuff and circumstances. But I’m pleased with the club since they’re providing me with more assistance with Luke.

“I believe everyone is aware of Luke and his Championship experience. I believe he will be an excellent (addition) to our team.”
