West Brom wins promotion Ian Hamilton Died  at the age of 55.

The popular former Albion midfielder Ian Hamilton passed away at the age of 55, according to the organization of the team’s former players.

We regret to inform you that Ian Hamilton, winner of the 1993 promotion, passed away. Late last year, Hammy fell unwell. His coworkers will miss him, particularly his mother, daughter Rhianna, son Luca, and granddaughter. Our sincere condolences are offered, Ian, RIP

He later played 240 league games for the team, scoring 23 goals, many of them while Alan Buckley was the manager. In 282 games for Albion throughout all competitions, he scored 28 goals.

Hamilton later had time with Grimsby Town, Notts County, Lincoln City, and Woking before transferring to Sheffield United in 1998 for £325,000.

This one stings more than any other. RIP, Hammy, my dearest friend. among the greatest. I’ve made a lot of wonderful friends in football, but this man meant a lot more to me. I’m going to miss you, my buddy, but I’m so happy we had this last conversation. Hamilton and Daryl Burgess shared a photo online with the message “My brother” and a shattered heart.

Prior to the team’s next home game against Millwall on Saturday, September 23, the club has announced that they would honor the late midfielder with a minute of applause.

Hamilton is survived by his son Luca, daughter Rhianna, and grandchild.
