Everton star ‘target’ for Man City and Man Utd in January window following excellent play

According to the most recent sources, his impressive early-season form has already attracted potential suitors.

After a great start to the season, Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton is allegedly being pursued by both Manchester City and United.

The 21-year-old had a standout loan season at PSV Eindhoven last year, when he gained invaluable first-team experience. Now that Sean Dyche has handed him a starting position, he has carried that form back to England.

He wasn’t incorporated into the first team after his success with the England U21 squad throughout the summer; nonetheless, he has been a crucial starter ever since Everton’s home match against Wolves on August 26.

Even if Everton’s general record has been shaky, he has been a star player, looking cool, collected, and physically powerful next to James Tarkowski. This performance has reportedly caught the interest of some of the top English teams.

Branthwaite is reportedly one of the players Manchester United is interested in for the January transfer window, according to Chris Wheeler at the Daily Mail. One of the English teams keeping an eye on him is Manchester City

It also states that Branthwaite and Everton are negotiating a new deal, but if the player keeps improving, interest in him won’t be diminished by that. His current contract expires in 2025, and considering how well he has performed thus far this season, a new agreement would probably be presented.
Given that Everton is now set to remain in the relegation zone, he could be simpler to sign for a top team in any of the following transfer windows. He is six feet five inches tall and has left foot, which gives him a unique profile that will appeal to most teams. He is also comfortable with the ball, fast, and excellent in the air.He appears to be one of, if not their greatest young player at the club, and Everton will want to make sure he remains. He also has a promising future. considering their problems thus far this season, United appear to be the team that would need him more considering that Manchester City already has a formidable defensive unit.

It makes sense that they would want to hang onto their young star for as long as they can given that their other defensive choices don’t match Tarkowski and Branthwaite’s caliber.
