Loan Watch: Baah Returns to Work After Missing the Mark

The loaned players from Watford had another hectic week of competition as they continued to contribute to their temporary teams.

We start with Burton Albion’s Kwadwo Baah, who played against Fleetwood Town at the weekend (Saturday, September 23) in a 1-1 League One tie. After scoring the game-winning goal in the Brewers’ victory against Port Vale on Tuesday, September 19, the winger was given his second start of the year.

After a crazy run, Baah finished strong with his first goal for the third-tier team and an equally amazing celebration. The Watford winger will want to keep up his momentum for Burton going into their next league game against Reading (Saturday, September 30, 3pm KO). Burton is currently in 20th position in the standings.

On Saturday, September 23, Samuel Kalu appeared for the final 19 minutes of the second half of Lausanne-Sport’s 0-0 tie with FC Zürich to make his debut for the Swiss team. The Nigerian will be attempting to move Lausanne-Sport, who are now in 10th position in the Super League standings with five points after seven games, up the standings.

Leyton Orient defeated Shrewsbury Town 1-0 on September 23, and Shaq Forde accrued additional playing time after replacing him after the break.

With a little under 30 minutes remaining, the young player onto the field in place of George Moncur. With the victory, Orient climb to 15th place in the league standings, only five points outside of the play-off spots.
