JUST AS : justifies selection of Conor Gallagher as captain over Enzo Fernandez

Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of Chelsea, gave an explanation of his recent captaincy decisions on Friday.Naturally, the issue of the captain’s armband has long been a hot topic in west London.

Reece James, who was just designated Chelsea’s new captain by the aforementioned Pochettino, is currently out injured once more.

Another choice about James’ replacement must now be made by the Blues manager.

Conor Gallagher was unexpectedly selected to captain the team against Bournemouth last weekend, with Ben Chilwell sitting on the bench.

When he addressed the media earlier today, Pochettino provided some insight into the call:

He captained the team against Wimbledon as well. He is intended to serve as captain. It’s great.

Having a party is not a big thing if you consider the starting lineup vs Bournemouth and the fact that he also served as captain versus Wimbledon.

He is from Chelsea, making him the perfect candidate to lead the team as captain. And as of Friday night, further quotations from the Argentine had come to light.

Pochettino emphasized the importance of Gallagher’s fluency in English while comparing his leadership qualifications to those of midfield partner Enzo Fernandez on this particular occasion.

I believe Conor can perform the job flawlessly if we need to talk with the referee, and I prefer Conor over Enzo because I believe Conor can speak English regularly. Enzo is still not ready, in my opinion, to command. It’s not just because of someone’s profile, demeanor, or character. You have to interact with people, and if you can’t manage the language well, you can’t be a captain, right? I’m not sure. I may be mistaken, but that’s just my view.
