A CALLUM WILSON penalty gives the Magpies their first Premier League victory since opening weekend against NEWCASTLE 1-0 over Brentford.
Newcastle United defeated Brentford by a score of 1-0 on Saturday at St. James’ Park, giving them just their second victory of the year. The host team earned three points on the night thanks to a second-half penalty from Callum Wilson, snapping a run of three straight losses. Both clubs now have six points after five games following the outcome.

Aaron Hickey and Yoane Wissa both had chances to score for Brentford in the early minutes. As the first half wore on, Newcastle gradually became better and came close to scoring when Mark Flekken made a good save from Bruno Guimaraes after the Brazilian connected with Sven Botman’s flick-on from a corner.
