Probable Milan starting lineup for Inter matchup: only one change from Roma victory

Tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter is set to feature just one starting lineup alteration under Stefano Pioli. With a few absences at the back, it’s a forced change as well.

The manager started the same starting XI for the previous three games, rotating it throughout play, and if Fikayo Tomori hadn’t been suspended, he probably would have continued with that strategy for tomorrow’s game as well. According to MilanNews, Simon Kjaer will so start alongside Malick Thiaw.

However, there won’t be any changes to the midfield or the offense, which makes Pioli’s decision understandable given the team’s strong start. Christian Pulisic was the lone uncertainty; nevertheless, despite arriving late from international duty, he seems to be perfectly prepared.

The likely starting lineup for Milan (4-3-3) is Maignan; Calabria; Kjaer; Thiaw; Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek; Krunic; Reijnders; Pulisic; Giroud; and Leao.

Both Milan and Inter have nine points in their opening three games and will try to keep their winning ways going. Thus, the game tomorrow will be highly intriguing, and the Rossoneri will be seeking retribution for their difficulties in the previous season.
