Numerous English Premier League teams, including Tottenham, Wolves, and Crystal Palace, have shown interest in Campbell. The center-back has been courted by the Clarets to come to England, though.

A two-year contract with Turf Moor has been reached with the Scotland Under-17 international, and the transfer will be official provided Campbell receives international clearance.

One of Scotland’s top young prospects, Campbell has excelled for Scotland’s U16s and U17s as well as for the youth teams of St. Mirren during the past 12 months.

Campbell is viewed by Burnley as a future star in the making, and the club is hoping he can progress to the first team.

Prior to trying to sneak into Clarets first-team manager Vincent Kompany’s plans, the 17-year-old is likely to first join Burnley’s U18s and U21s.

Kompany is anxious to attract young players that they can eventually develop into first-team players at Turf Moor in order to have a strong base of youth in their academy setup.
