LIVERPOOL WON’T HAVE A PLAYER LIKE ‘PHENOMENAL’ ACE AGAIN AFTER ASTON VILLA WIN

Michael Owen praised Mohamed Salah’s ‘unbelievable’ consistency after he scored and helped Liverpool beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

The former England striker claims that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will never acquire another player like the 31-year-old again, despite the fact that the build-up to today’s game has been dominated by the player linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

But, according to Owen, Mohamed Salah is ‘one of the world’s finest’ and a ‘pretty spectacular’ player, as he told Premier League Productions (03/09/23 at 4:00 pm).

Salah has two goals and two assists in four Premier League games so far this season, having picked up where he left off last season.

Whether he goes today, next year, in a few years, or retires at Anfield, the Egypt international will be remembered as a club great, and many would include him in the club’s all-time XI.

That’s a lot of money for a player who is still at the height of his game, and with Harry Kane now in Bayern Munich, Salah is possibly the most likely player to challenge Erling Haaland in the top-scorer  charts.”I mean, his consistency is incredible,” Owen stated. “He’s one of the best in the world.” His productivity and goals, as well as the figures he continues to generate year after year, are pretty impressive.

“Where do you find someone who plays every game, never gets hurt, is a model pro, and always scores?” Big dreams. He has witnessed every major trophy being won.

“I understand, I hear it.” If someone is willing to pay dumb money, then everyone on his world has a cost. However, you will not be able to obtain another Mo Salah.”

188 Liverpool goals and counting…

Salah has already played 309 games in all competitions, closing in on 200, not to mention his 81 assists, including the penetrating through pass that set up Darwin Nunez’s winner at St James’ Park last week.

If Salah continues at Liverpool for a few more years, there’s no reason he can’t reach 300. One thing is certain: he’ll earn his double century this season.

It will place him in the company of Merseyside greats ranging from Kenny Dalglish to Ian Rush.
