The Express journalist reported via Twitter on Thursday (31 August) that Gruev, 23, is edging closer to a move to Elland Road with Leeds and Werder in the final stages of agreeing a fee.
It is understood that the two clubs are “finalising potential add-ons” as well as discussing a payment structure for the £4.2million deal.
Deal all but done
It seems that the whole deal is now a formality and Leeds basically have themselves a new midfielder in Gruev.
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay also reported on Thursday that the Buglaria international is due to undergo a medical with the Whites in then ext 24 hours and complete his move.
