In Focus: Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is emerging as a top talent | LiveScore

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly hand a new contract to Pape Matar Sarr.

According to 90min, Tottenham Hotspur will reward central midfielder Pape Matar Sarr with a new deal.

Tottenham have been impressed by how Sarr has done for the first team this season.

The report has claimed that the Senegal international midfielder is “set to be rewarded for his progress with a new contract”.

Tottenham head coach Postecoglou described Sarr as an “outstanding” player and “a great talent” in Football.London in July 2023.

Sarr is under contract at Tottenham until the summer of 2026.

While Pape Matar Sarr has been very good for Tottenham Hotspur in the opening weeks of the new season, we do not think that the Premier League club should hand him a new deal.

After all, Sarr already has a long-term contract with Spurs.

The 20-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 and stayed on loan at Metz for the 2021-22 season.

Last season was Sarr’s first in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old is now looking as though he has adapted to the Premier League and can be a regular for Tottenham.

Yes, Sarr has done well so far this season, but we are still in August.

The time to hold talks with the midfielder over a new deal would be later in the season, maybe after January 2024 or even next summer, not now.

After all, Spurs signed Sarr just in 2021 and he is under contract at the North London club until 2026.

Sarr has made 14 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The midfielder has scored one goal and given two assists in those games.
