BREAKING NEWS:Ratcliffe Not up to me if Manchester United sack Ten Hag.

According to Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Erik ten Hag’s future as Manchester United manager will not be decided by him.

The pressure on Ten Hag as manager has intensified due to his turbulent start to the season and concerning performances against Tottenham and Porto.

However, CEO Omar Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth will make the ultimate decision with Ten Hag, according to part-owner Ratcliffe.

He said to BBC Sport, when asked if he believes in Ten Hag, “I don’t want to answer that question.Erik is nice to me.

“I believe he’s a very competent coach, but ultimately, the management group that oversees Manchester United must determine how to effectively run the squad in many different ways.

“But that team that’s running Manchester United has only been together since June or July. They only arrived in July

“They’ve only been there…you can count it in weeks almost – they’ve not been there a long time so they need to take stock and make some sensible decisions.

“Our objective is very clear – we want to take Manchester United back to where it should be, and it’s not there yet, obviously – that’s very clear.”
