Just In:Terry Francona’s Retirement…

Guess who is back? Ladies and gentlemen, Terry Francona has returned to Major League Baseball to manage a team that has fallen short of expectations recently, and they needed something to be happy about, as the Cincinnati Reds will be his new team.

After quitting the Cleveland Guardians a year ago for health concerns, the veteran Boston Red Sox skipper was apparently very happy to return to a baseball dugout for next season, as he is now paying attention to his competitors in the National League who are participating in the playoffs.

Francona will replace David Bell, who was fired by Cincinnati just before the 2-24 season ended in what was his sixth season with the team. Bell had 409 wins and 456 losses with the team.

Terry Francona, a winning manager, played for the Cincinnati Reds in 1987.227 with three home runs, and he scored 12 runs in 102 games.

However, his managerial career has been far more successful. He has won nearly 2,000 games as a manager,

with a 1,950-1,672 record over a 23-year career that began with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1997 and concluded in 2000, and everyone remembers his tenure with the Red Sox from 2004 to 2011, when he won multiple World Series.

He was also the Guardians’ manager for a long time, from 2013 to 2023, during which he led the team to the World Series.

The Reds hope that a similar performance will happen with him in control
