Tătăruşanu played for the last three seasons with AC Milan after joining the club from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2020.

However, his contract expired with Milan last July and the goalkeeper became a free agent.

Despite receiving offers from Italy and Romania, Tătăruşanu has opted to move to Saudi Arabia to join Abha Club, coached by former Poland boos Czeslaw Michniewicz.

The 37-year-old will now become Abha’s second marquee signing after Grzegorz Krychowiak and François Kamano and will battle with Cameroon international Devis Epassy for the goalkeeping spot.

Abha has also been linked with moves for Jesse Lingard and Valencia’s Samu Castillejo as they keen to avoid relegation next season.
