Done Deal: Raiders Sign in a Massive Trade Deal for a Sensational Superstar

In the most recent mock draft for The Athletic by Jeff Zrebiac, the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders have agreed on a significant trade.

Though a sizable portion of the mock draft community thinks the Baltimore Ravens will attempt to move out of that selection, the team presently has the 30th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

This makes sense because Baltimore needs to replace all of the lost talent after losing many important starters to free agency.

Given that a single prospect can only cover one hole, Baltimore will most likely make a trade back to add as many guys as possible who are capable of starting.

The Ravens sell the 30th overall pick to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for the 44th and 77th picks in Jeff Zrebiac’s most recent mock draft. On the Drafttek value table, this is about a fair bargain, and it grants Baltimore four selections on the second day of the draft.

In the latest mock draft, the Ravens trade down and land four day-two picks (44th overall, Kingsley Suamataia, OT).

The Baltimore Ravens must do something to make sure Lamar Jackson is not subject to contract pressure the following season after losing three offensive line starters.

Luckily, there is a ton of potential in this class, and halfway through the mock draft’s second round, the Ravens select a lineman good enough to start. Although Kingsley Suamataia still has to work on his technique, the BYU product possesses the strength and size necessary to be successful in the professional ranks.

Lamar Jackson only needs Suamataia to make sure this line isn’t a problem in order for him to be successful.

Max Melton, CB, placed 62nd overall.

Although the Ravens have a plethora of passable cornerbacks, Max Melton has a lot of potential in this mock draft. The Rutgers product is a gifted athlete who can play in the slot or out wide, so he should see the field frequently.

Baltimore will need as many defensive backs as possible to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from making it to their third straight Super Bowl or to defeat a healthy Bengals team and win the AFC North. The AFC is home to some of the strongest passing attacks in football.

Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, came in 77th overall.

The Ravens will not have Odell Beckham back next season, so they will need to select a new starting receiver in this mock draft.

Even though Ja’Lynn Polk is a product of Washington, she has the ability to go up and catch contested throws despite her lackluster deep speed.

Polk has the kind of skill set that the Ravens haven’t had in a long time in a wide receiver, and he might build a career out of winning on the outside and creating plays in the red zone.

Dominick Puni, G., came in 93rd overall.

The mock draft provides the Ravens with a possible alternative for the starting guards they lost in free agency.

Dominick Puni won’t have to start as a rookie because of players like Ben Cleveland and Andrew Vorhees, but at the very least, the Kansas native should be able to gain playing time by the conclusion of the campaign.

He also offers some positional versatility because, in his college career, he played tackle. He could slide over and perform adequately in brief bursts in an emergency.
