Jake Haener, the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, received a six-game suspension for using performance-enhancing substances.

New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback Jake Haener will miss the first six games of the 2023 NFL season due to his use of performance-enhancing substances, which is against league regulations.

The league made the ban public on Wednesday. It was unclear why Haener was suspended.

“I recently realized that I tested positive for a substance outlawed by the NFL earlier this summer,” Haener said in a statement that she shared on Instagram. I’m still not sure how the substance got into my body because it’s not present in any of my prescribed medications or supplements.

“Even though I wouldn’t purposefully cheat in a game I enjoy, I must take full responsibility for the failed test. Haener went on, “I really apologize for any trouble that this suspension may have caused to the Saints organization, my friends, and my family.

Although I’ll miss the team throughout the next three weeks, I’ll grow and learn from it. I want to be back on the squad as soon as possible,” Haener said.
