Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said that he would soon be retiring.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could be playing at his best level of his NFL career after the last four games; the San Francisco 49ers loss seems to have been the turning point in his play.
It may be argued that during the last four games, Dak has been the NFL’s top quarterback statistically. He has thrown 12 touchdown passes for 1,354 yards, including two on the run, with just two interceptions.
That’s not all, though. Prescott ended each of the four games with a quarterback rating of 109.3 or higher, and his completion percentage was above 70 three times.
All things considered, veteran NFL CB Domonique Foxworth thinks Dak is the finest quarterback in the game right now.
Foxworth said, “He’s the best quarterback in the NFL,” on ESPN’s GetUp.Since the 49ers defeat, he has led the team statistically in almost every advanced category. Watching the games also makes it clear that he isn’t getting much protection. He’s struggling because the offensive line is disintegrating, he’s not receiving the rushing game that Tony Pollard supposedly possessed, and it doesn’t exist.
The coach remarked of CeeDee Lamb’s outstanding play, “Dak seems to be making things much simpler for everyone around him, especially the coaching staff.”
Pollard’s shift to the starting position hasn’t gone as anticipated in terms of the rushing game since it’s been tough to get yards. He has only had one game with 100 yards or more, and the Cowboys have only had two games with more than 134 rushing yards.
Prescott, contrary to popular belief, cannot depend solely on the run game. But it doesn’t matter because Dak keeps making plays and scoring touchdowns.
This season, Prescott has also earned the highest rating in the NFL four times: 90+ PFF.
We definitely need Prescott to continue playing well for a little while longer, even if MVP chatter has been rife (maybe until Dallas plays Philadelphia in Week 14).
However, it’s challenging to locate a quarterback who performs better than Rayne Dakota Prescott at this time.
