Pop sensation Post Malone and country music icon Reba McEntire will perform at next month’s Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, alongside halftime performer Usher.
NFL ANNOUNCES SUPER BOWL ENTERTAINMENT ON JAN. 18The famous coach Bill Belichick left the Patriots after a disastrous 4-13 season, and the team will not be returning to Las Vegas next month to add to their record six victories. Still, the NFL has unveiled the schedule of pregame entertainment for Super Bowl LVIII, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium on February 11.
The National Anthem by country music icon Reba McEntire, “America the Beautiful” by pop singer Post Malone, and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by R&B singer Andra Day will be added to the previously confirmed Usher halftime show.
The Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2019. This week, they formally unveiled new coach Jerod Mayo.
January 10: Nick Saban of Alabama retiresAccording to a report from ESPN’s Chris Low, 72-year-old Nick Saban, a close friend and protege of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, is retiring from coaching.
After just concluding his 17th season at the University of Alabama, Saban has been a coach for 50 years total. During his tenure as Alabama’s coach, Nick Saban guided the team to six SEC Championships, eight national championships, and 201 victories overall with just 29 defeats.
Alabama finished 12-2 in what will likely be Saban’s final season, losing only to Texas and Michigan. Before losing to the Wolverines in the college football playoff semifinal, the Crimson Tide defeated Georgia in the SEC Championship.
Before he became the man that many now consider to be the best college football coach of all time, Saban served as Belichick’s defensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns from 1991 to 1994 before the two parted ways.
Now that Belichick might be leaving New England, Saban is hanging up his headphones.

Pete Carroll, 72, was unexpectedly let go by the Seattle Seahawks following 14 seasons and a Super Bowl victory. Owner Robert Kraft and the 71-year-old Bill Belichick are still debating Belichick’s future in New England.
NFL head coaches have been dismissed on Sunday (Arthur Smith of the Falcons), Monday (Ron Rivera of the Commanders), Tuesday (Mike Vrabel of the Titans), and now Tuesday (Carroll). However, Belichick is still with the Patriots as of right now.
With a combined 514 victories and seven Super Bowls over their Hall of Fame careers, Carroll and Belichick are coaching dinosaurs in the NFL.
Recall that Carroll oversaw the final Patriots game without Belichick. In 1999, he served as the coach; in 2000, Belichick was hired. Later on in the 2014 season, Belichick’s Patriots defeated Carroll’s Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. Seattle has not advanced to the AFC Championship Game since that time, while New England, which is 29-39 and has not won a postseason game since Tom Brady left, is the team that last won a Super Bowl in 2018.
After a thrilling comeback victory over the Cleveland Browns on Halloween weekend, the Seahawks were 5-2 and on the rise. However, despite a stunning Wild Card berth in 2022, they finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs.
Belichick is a stoic and unyielding optimist, whereas Carroll exudes an endless supply of positive energy. They may have different playing styles, but they are both going to the same place—the Canton Pro Football Hall of Fame.
There are now head coaching positions in the NFL.

If Belichick is unable to reach a deal to stay with the Patriots, Washington has been mentioned as a potential destination. It has also been stated that Josh Harris, the new owner of Washington, is “enamored” with Belichick.
In addition, if Belichick becomes a free agent after this season, the Falcons are predicted to show “strong interest.”
Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Lions, or Aaron Glenn, the defensive coordinator for Detroit, are the speculated candidates to be the Panthers’ next head coach.
JAN. 7 BILLS WIN AFC East, BEATS DOLPHINS -The Bills have won the AFC East for four straight division titles after defeating the Dolphins 21-14 in Miami late on Sunday night. The Patriots had previously controlled the division. Since the Patriots defeated the Dolphins in 1997, this was the first winner-take-all game in the AFC East during the final week of the regular season.
The 4-13 Patriots finished in the AFC East cellar for the first time since 2000 following their defeat to the Jets on Sunday. The Pats finished 2-4 in the division after losing to Miami and splitting with the Jets and Bills.
Between 2001 and 1999, New England won the AFC East 17 times out of 19.
Buffalo, who won the division by sweeping Miami, will play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the opening round of the playoffs after finishing at 11-6. The Dolphins are compelled to play against the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected as a wild card.
