Iowa standout Caitlin Clark decided to do what everyone does at their own birthday party: give gifts to their guests. Clark and her teammates celebrated her forthcoming birthday on January 22 early.
Clark presented a pair of Nikes to every member of her Hawkeyes team. In October 2022, the company signed Clark and four other prominent college basketball players, including JuJu Watkins and Bronny James.
Clark is attempting to make history as a three-time All-American and two-time Big Ten Player of the Year. In Iowa’s 96-50 victory over Wisconsin on Tuesday, the senior guard ended with 32 points, good for fourth in women’s college basketball history with 3,306 career points.Kelsey Plum leads all players in career points with 3,527.
This season, Clark is shooting 48.1/40.1/83.2 and averaging 31.0 points, 7.7 assists, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. This season, Iowa is 18-1 overall (7-0 Big Ten), excellent for first place in the conference.
On Sunday, Clark and the Hawkeyes will travel to take on No. 18 Ohio State.
