Ohio State loses linebacker to NFL who could have returned for another season
Players are being taken by the NFL draft in addition to the transfer portal for Ohio State football.
Senior linebacker Steele Chambers made the decision to forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the draft on Tuesday afternoon, as per his Instagram post. He spent five seasons honing his tackles while he was in Columbus. His impact plays did not improve; despite picking off a pass this past season, he did not record a sack.
Along with Tommy Eichenberg, Chambers’ departure means that the programme is losing two important players in the linebacker room. This is not a barren cupboard, as the Buckeyes anticipate Cody Simon returning.
